RIVER THAMES
COARSE  FISHING  WITH  THE  ESSEX  ANGLER


A 2 mile stretch controlled by the TroutInn Pub at Buckland.It averages 14 feet deep.A good specimen fishery with plenty of Chub to 6lb.A number of Barbel to 10lb,Bream to 5lb,Pike 25lb,Roach and Perch.

Access is from one end only.A waggler and feeder venue,the waggler fished across the far bank for Chub,Roach and Perch on maggot or caster.Barbel is more localised with big legered baits like meat and paste.

DIRECTIONS: A420 from Oxford west to Faringdon.After 15 miles,turn off towards Bampton at Buckland.The road crosses the river at Tadpole bridge.
